SYRE: The Electric Album is available to stream exclusively on Smith’s Instagram.

If you haven’t been living under a rock for the past decade, you probably know Jaden and Willow Smith have both followed in their father’s footsteps and become musicians. Willow started young with the iconic moment “Whip My Hair”, Whilst Jaden had his breakout moment on Justin Bieber’s “Never Say Never”.

Since then both have moved away from pop music stardom both finding their own alternative sounds. Last year Jaden Smith released his debut album SYRE in November last year after a mixtape and featuring on some great Aussie music.

Now in a wild turn of events, Smith has released another new album less than a year later. Titled “SYRE: The Electric Album”, it features “electric” versions of tracks from the debut album including . It is also available to stream exclusively on his Instagram, Pitchfork reports.

Whilst in recent years the increasing competition between streaming platforms has seen exclusives happening more often, this might be the first album to be streaming only on Instagram. The album is still unavailable on all music streaming services.

The artist has not said whether the album will be made available to stream elsewhere at any point. This probably means you’re unlikely to see the album on any charts at the end of the week. Last time we checked, most places don’t count Instagram video views in their chart counts…

The original SYRE album is available to stream everywhere, and you can watch the video for Icon below. Otherwise head to his Insta for a cheeky listen of the new release.
