Metallica’s James Hetfield is currently raffling off handmade coffee tables in support of charity. Now, they’ll be forever marked with his very own ‘Papa H’ logo.

At the beginning of the month, renowned frontman of Metallica, James Hetfield, showed off a little hobby project he’s been working on while in isolation: building coffee tables.

Bringing life to his “I am the table” lyrics shouted in his collaborative song ‘The View’ with Lou Reed, Hetfield is currently raffling off the twin coffee tables for charity, so you can finally get your partner to agree to let you decorate the lounge with Metallica memorabilia, since they probably aren’t keen on you tacking up your Metallica light switch.

Now, there’s been an update on the twin pair of tables, as Hetfield has branded each with his own, new, ‘Papa H’ logo.

The charity that is raffling off the tables, All Within My Hands Foundation, posted an update to their Instagram stating, “We’ve got an exciting update on ‘The Covid Collection by James Hetfield!’.”

Attached with a photo of the new addition to the coffee tables, AWMH stated: “James has designed a new Papa H logo and branded it on the underside of the wood surface of these gorgeous end tables. We’re just over halfway through our sweepstakes, so don’t wait to enter!”

With the raffle only costing $10 per entry, all proceeds are set to benefit AWMH, with “this campaign specifically will go toward welding programs funded by the #MetallicaScholars initiative.”

In addition, if you win, you can spruce up your Metallica coffee tables even further, as Hetfield is slated to release a coffee table book on July 28th. Reclaimed Rust: The Four-Wheeled Creations Of James Hetfield walks you through the other hobby Hetfield has besides music and coffee table making: restoring antique cars.
