Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry has given his first update since being hospitalised after performing alongside Billy Joel earlier this month.

Taking to Facebook, the guitarist shared photo’s from his family Thanksgiving Weekend, shared alongside members of his family.

“Had a great Thanksgiving weekend with Billie, Annie, Roman, Tony, Austin, Sarah, Amanda and cooked by Aaron” he said, sharing images of what looked like a beautiful roast and appearing in good health.

Perry assured fans two weeks ago that he was doing well and was grateful from the support that he was receiving from fans in the wake of the hospitalisation.

Perry had joined Billy Joel onstage for a rendition of Walk This Way to the delight of roughly 20,000 punters crammed into the venue.

After he got offstage he reportedly collapsed and was taken to a hospital, where doctors determined he was suffering from a combination of allergies and fatigue.

The incident wasn’t the first time that Perry has given fans a scare, infamously collapsing during a Hollywood Vampires gig in 2016, resulting in the band completing a run of shows without him.

Perry has reportedly suffered from shortness of breath his entire life, leading to incidents like the ones recently occurring onstage.

In the aftermath of the recent incident, Perry canceled a planned Nov-Dec tour in order to take time off to recover. Perry stated that he looked forward to “seeing you all in 2019.”

Aerosmith is set to be on the road again next year too, so it seems that we will be seeing a lot more of Perry in the new year.
