Julia Jacklin, her band, and her opening act Christian Lee Hutson finished up their set at the Old Town School of Folk in Chicago with an Avril Lavigne cover. Yes, it was amazing, did you even need to ask?

Touring around the Americas and eventually heading over to Australia for a slew of 2020 shows, Julia Jacklin has been killing it lately, hot on the heels of her brand new 2019 album Crushing.

Come her Chicago show, where Christian Lee Hutson was the opening act, and Jacklin decided to surprise fans with an Avril Lavigne cover to wrap up the night.

Jacklin covered Avril’s song ‘I’m With You’ from her incredible album Let Go.

The show went down at the Old Town School of Folk in Chicago, and you can watch the full performance caught by a fan, below:

In recent news, Julia Jacklin recently performed with Lana Del Rey for a joint performance of the stunning ‘Don’t Know How To Keep Loving You’, and it was everything we could have ever hoped for and more.

A few weeks ago the Lana Del Rey Norman Fucking Rockwell! tour descended on Denver’s Bellco Theatre. During the show, punters were surprised with a most ethereal onstage collaboration. Death Cab For Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard and Blue Mountains songwriting royalty Julia Jacklin joined Del Rey.
