Kanye West reckons that he got a fat tax refund courtesy of God himself.

On Monday, Kanye appeared on Carpool Karaoke with James Corden. During the interview, Kanye claims that his commitment to the lord bore fruit in the form of $68 million USD.

“God is using me to show off,” Kanye shared. “Last year I made $115 million and still ended up $35 million in debt. This year I looked up and I just got $68 million returned to me on my tax returns.”

“People need to hear [from] someone that has been put into debt by the system, talk about these type of numbers now that they’re in service to Christ.”

As Consequence of Sound points out, the large payout probably has a more to do with his dear buddy Donald Trump as opposed to God, the tax agent. You can watch the interview below.

In related news, fans are speculating that Kanye West may have found inspiration in the classic The Legend Of Zelda soundtrack in his new record, Jesus Is King. Album track ‘Selah’ appears to have taken inspiration from the ‘Gerudo Valley Theme’ from the 1998 video game.
