Walking drug and booze testing laboratory Keith Richards has revived one of his 90s projects, with the release of an album of Rastafarian spirituals by Wingless Angels, the loose jam band he formed with Jamaican singer Justin Hinds. Formerly front man of legendary ska band The Dominos, Hinds and Keith jammed with neighbours and local fisherman who ” …had no idea who the Rolling Stones were. They didn’t even give a shit,” according to the human riff.

Hinds died in 2005, with the results of recordings made in 2004 now streaming here. Richards says of the recordings, “You can’t get artsy with the tracks or anything. It is what it is. I realised early on that this was the way I wanted to record this band. They’ve got to feel free just to do it, and that’s it.”
