A Kimbra Australian Tour 2014 has been announced with the electric New Zealander returning Down Under for a special pair of headline shows this November.
Following the release of her eclectic sophomore album The Golden Echo, which features a huge range of A-list collaborators and schooled us with a few interesting lessons, Kimbra is bringing her powerhouse live performance to Sydney’s Metro Theatre and Melbourne’s Hi-Fi in concerts presented by Live Nation.
Tickets for bot shows go on sale at 10am, Thursday 4th Septmeber. My Live Nation members can be amongst the first to secure tickets during the pre-sale beginning at 12 midday Tuesday, 2nd September. Full dates and ticket details below.

The new Kimbra Australian Tour 2014 will mark a welcome return from fans following the disappointment of the Kiwi songstress’ billed co-headline tour with Janelle Monaé being cancelled earlier this year.
The Golden Electric tour saw Kimbra performing a single set in Melbourne before Monaé’s band arrived on stage to announce the Atlanta-based singer had fallen ill – leading to the subsequent cancellation of the entire run as Live Nation offered partial refunds to Melbourne attendees.
Undeterred by the scrapped tour, Kimbra powered on with the release of her sophomore follow-up to 2011’s Vows. The Golden Echo shot into in the ARIA and RIANZ charts at #5 this week, adding to her pool of accolades, including being named winner of the ARIA Award for ‘Best Female Artist’ for two years in succession, as well as five Tui awards at the New Zealand Music Awards.
The Golden Echo, featuring singles ‘90’s Music’ and ‘Miracle’, was co-produced by Kimbra and Rich Costey and the wonderful kaleidoscope of collaborators include members of the Mars Volta, Muse, Foster the People and Daniel Johns of Silverchair – just to name a few.
