If you’ve been thinking the live music scene has been lacking a bit of psychedelic ferocity, then you might be keen to hear that King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have just announced headline shows for Sydney, Adelaide, and Brisbane.
Just last week, we learned that King Gizzard are set to bring their annual Gizzfest celebration back for another year. While the band’s hometown appearance was confirmed, interstate fans were undoubtedly left wondering if Gizzfest was set to make its way to their neck of the woods. Now, their questions have been answered.
Announced today, King Gizzard have announced that instead of Gizzfest making its way around the country this year, they’ll be bringing some extra-special headline sets to their fans in Sydney, Adelaide, and Brisbane.
Supported by Tropical Fuck Storm, these shows are set to be one of the few chances Aussie fans get to see the band this year before they make an appearance at the 2018/2019 leg of Falls Festival.
Kicking off at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on November 23rd, the group will hit up The Gov in Adelaide the following night, before heading along to The Tivoli in Brisbane on November 29th. King Gizz will then be taking over the Melbourne Showgrounds that weekend for Gizzfest, where they plan to deliver “an extra-long career spanning set” for their adoring fans.
Tickets to these headline dates go on sale this Friday, so make sure you don’t miss out!
