Do you ever look at your Xmas tree and think that there is not enough male angst, ’90s rap metal, or creepy doll art represented in your ornament selection?
Well, assuming you have spent the past twelve months continuously streaming Korn songs on Spotify, you may just be in luck.
The streaming service are teaming up with Korn for what has to be the weirdest promotional campaign in recent history. They’ve created a collection of Christmas tree ornaments – or “Kornaments”, because the name definitely, definitely came first during that particular marketing meeting – and will gift them to the fans who have streamed the most Korn songs over the past year. Cue victorious slap-bass riff!
The ornaments are based on the artwork for the band’s recent record, The Serenity Of Suffering, too, which is a nice little Xmas-friendly title if ever I’ve heard one.
Hopefully they will be delivered in time to adorn trees this year, and to generally ensure life is peachy. Check out the promotion ad below. (It’s pretty good, actually.)
