English four-piece Arctic Monkeys could find themselves at the centre of a label bidding war once deal with label Domino Records expires after promo is finished on their latest album Suck It and See. A source told The Sun that although Arctic Monkeys could decide to stick with Domino who they signed with in 2005, it is expected that other labels will try to pick them up.

“The boys’ four-album deal is nearly finished and their management are ready to meet labels who fancy picking them up. Signing the Arctics would be a huge coup for anyone right now, because they are guaranteed to sell huge numbers.” said the source. “They have a great relationship with Domino because the founder Laurence Bellhas always given them a lot of creative control. And they could re-sign with the firm but now Domino face competition from the major labels, who are keen to wade in. It could be a huge bun fight.”

Suck It And See, released June 2011, has been a commercial success shooting up the charts into the top 10 in over 12 countries including going number 1 here in Australia. You can catch the boys later this year when they headline Falls Festival over New Years Eve.
