Lady Gaga has teamed up with Versace for a new collection to celebrate Pride Month as well as the tenth anniversary of  her iconic album, Born This Way.

Versace’s chief designer Donatella Versace and Lady Gaga both took to social media on Tuesday to announce the incoming Versace x Born This Way capsule line, created in honour of the LGBTQ+ community.

“Versace has always been a leader. Since Gianni, Donatella, Allegra, and still now they have celebrated the beautiful colours of love we have within us to offer each other,” Lady Gaga wrote alongside a snap of herself wearing a T-shirt from the collection.

“We were all more different, and different is beautiful. Thank you, Donatella, for supporting LGBTQ+ mental health and the Born This Way tenth anniversary.”

The collection will include two unisex cotton shirts with the brand’s logo emblazoned in rainbow colours with the words “Born This Way”, as well as a black beret featuring a rainbow Versace logo.

Thirty per cent of the proceeds from the collection will go towards the Born This Way Foundation.

As well as the capsule collection, Donatella Versace is also is set to auction a replica of the leather jacket worn by Gaga from her 2011 world tour, with all proceeds to the singer’s foundation.

“I’m so excited to celebrate 10 years of Born This Way with Lady Gaga. This Pride Month, we’re launching something special for all those Little Monsters who believe in inclusivity and diversity,” Donatella said.

It’s just one of the many ways Lady Gaga has celebrated the milestone, with the talented singer recently being awarded a key to the city of West Hollywood to honour the cultural impact of her second studio album.

To top it off, Mayor Lindsey P. Horvath also officially declared May 23 as ‘Born This Way Day’.

Horvath also unveiled a painting of the album’s title as a pride flag on Robertson Boulevard as a tribute to both the album and the LGBTQIA+ community.

He told Gaga during the celebration: “Thank you for encouraging us to love ourselves and be proud!”

Gaga then told the cheering crowd: “Thank you for this key. You’ve been – I’m sure this will sound cheesy to some people, not to me – you’ve been the motherfucking key to my heart for a long time.

“I’ll honour this and I’ll treasure this, and I promise I’ll always be here for this day.

“I will be here on this day to celebrate with you, to feel joy with you, to cry with you, to laugh with you, because you know what we are? We’re poets, and we’re just talking to each other. I love you, let’s have a good time!”
