Californian punk legends Lagwagon are returning to Australia and New Zealand.
The tour will hit Perth, Newcastle, Sydney, Wollongong, Adelaide, Barwon Heads, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Auckland, and Wellington in January-February 2026.
It is all about reliving the raw energy and spirit of the ’90s punk scene, as the band celebrates the 30th anniversary of their third studio album, Hoss.
Fans will be treated to hearing the album that solidified the band’s place in punk history performed live in full, plus favourites from Lagwagon’s extensive catalogue.
It promises to be a “night of pure punk rock”, with Lagwagon known for their high-energy, no-frills live shows.
Fronted by Joey Cape, the group were rather prolific in their early years, serving up classic albums like Hoss and Let’s Talk About Feelings, while tracks like “Violins” set them aside as legends of the genre. 2015’s Hang served as their first studio album in nine years, while their accompanying Aussie tour would be their last for a while.
Hang featured heavier riffs and somewhat nihilistic lyrics, with an overall darker sound than some of Lagwagon’s previous work. It addressed themes including loss, betrayal, aging, the environment, and the plight of the common man.

In 2018, a trip to BIGSOUND resulted in some solo shows for Cape, but it wasn’t until 2020 that the band returned down under to promote the album Railer.
