The two incredibly famous Del’s, Lana Del Rey and Guillermo Del Toro, will be gathering to make everyone else in the room feel a whole lot less accomplished.

Academy Award winner Guillermo Del Toro is finally getting the Hollywood Walk of Fame star that he deserves, after developing some of our favourite movies to come out, ever.

The dedication ceremony is as plain as they come, with nothing really too out of the ordinary going on, except for one tiny Lana-shaped exception.

The event which will be humbly honouring the Shape Of Water director will take place Tuesday, August 6 at 11:30 a.m. PST, and will be live-streamed for us Australians over at the Walk of Fame website.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce President will be the emcee of the event, with American filmmaker J.J. Abrams as a guest speaker. The second guest speaker is of course none other than the life-lusting witch behind some of this decade’s most incredible songs, inventor of depression herself, Lana Del Rey.

Now there really is no obvious connection between the two apart from the obvious, the ‘Del’ that connects their names. Seriously, there’s no relationship between the two people at all.

Rumour has it Guillermo is a major fan of Del Rey, which wouldn’t be hard if he’s heard Ultraviolence at least once, I mean who can blame the man. The more credible rumour, however, is that Del Rey will be singing a cover of the 1966 song ‘Season of the Witch’ by Donovan, for an unreleased Del Toro project.

Del Rey will be ensuring that the unveiling of Del Toro’s star goes exactly as planned, officiating the union between the two most powerful Del’s in the modern world. Del Taco is yet to comment on whether they too will be making a surprise appearance at the event, and turn this musical and movie overlord Del-duo into a trio that involves food as well.
