When Lana Del Rey revealed that she was already working on her third album shortly after the release of her acclaimed sophomore effort, Ultraviolence, fans erupted into a frenzy of excitement and they can now experience the first taste of the forthcoming Honeymoon.

Del Rey has now unveiled the title track from her third album, which is expected some time in September. The track is a slow, noirish number reminiscent of a particularly sultry James Bond theme, with Del Rey crooning and even slipping some jazz scat over scintillating strings.

“Here it is, the first and title track off my record – ‘Honeymoon’. In some ways I feel it’s where the record begins and ends… there are so many other tracks on the record, 13 others to be exact. Some with a muddy trap energy and some inspired by late-night Miles Davis drives,” Del Rey wrote on Instagram.

“But I love this song because it encapsulates all of the things that come naturally to me.” Readers can check out the ‘Honeymoon’ video for themselves below, which mostly features the lyrics to the track intercut with grainy Super-8 footage of the singer herself.
