A Lauryn Hill Australian Tour 2014 has been announced.
Coinciding with the announcement that she’ll be performing as part of the Vivid LIVE 2014 lineup, the one and only Ms. Lauryn Hill will also be performing headline shows in Melbourne and Perth along with her appearance in Sydney as part of the arts and music festival.
Hailed as one of music’s most influential figures of the modern era, Lauryn Hill makes her headlining Australian tour debut this May, nearly 20 years after she first broke onto the scene as a key member of the award-winning group, The Fugees.
Her highly influential music was then cemented with her seminal 1998 solo debut album The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill, hailed then – and as regularly now – as a masterpiece of Ms. Hill’s talents as a songwriter, singer, rapper, and performer.
The Miseducation Of… also launched a legend, with Ms. Hill making history by winning five Grammy awards, becoming the first rap/hip-hop artist to win Album Of The Year and also becoming the first female solo artist to win five awards in one night.
Bringing an eclectic appreciation and voracious appetite for good music trans-genre, Ms. Hill’s compelling compositions incorporate all types of unique and incredible sounds from both the past and the contemporaneous environment of her youth.
