Revolver’s Let Go takes you on a journey through majestic landscapes to the cultured back alley lifestyle, where roasted coffee beans blow heavenly scents.

Swooning arpeggios accompanied with a violin reminiscent of an ancient battle cry help to set this album alight with opening track, “Let’s Get Together”.

Originating from France (yes ladies, they’re French), these lads excel in the art of sweet, soft, serenading ballads filled with vocal harmonies that really tug at those heartstrings.

After the 2006 inception of the band, three key members tucked themselves away in a noise restricted apartment in France where they perfected the acoustic harmonies you hear throughout their debut.

“When You’re Away” bursts into life with an irritatingly catchy sound which is soon forgotten as a lively, semi-psychedelic guitar riffs takes center stage.

A feeling of summer and positivity is felt throughout the majority of this song, but don’t get too comfortable.

Revolver have an uncanny ability to turn the happiest of songs into mysterious reflections of misery and uncertainty which is definitely a strong aspect of Let Go.

Key track undoubtedly goes to “Brothers”, an up beat feel good number which could happily sit amongst your best selection of party tunes.

The niche soundscape may not grab everyone at first but never-the-less; Let Go is an extremely enjoyable, catchy and easy album to listen to.
