Liam Gallagher is a divisive bloke who has pissed a lot of people off over the years, but his new single ‘For What It’s Worth’ is basically taking the chance to apologise for any of his regrets over the years.
“I wanted to write an apology,” Gallagher explains. “Not to one person, but to everyone, because I’m no good at saying sorry,” he continues, before adding in typical humble fashion, “that song is a tune.”
He had to apologise to fans just this week, having walked off the stage during his Lollapalooza set after just 20 minutes with no explanation.
In Liam’s defence, he’s also done some pretty nice stuff recently as well, such as helping a bunch of young fans get into his sold-out gig, and of course flying straight from a gig in Germany to perform at the recent Manchester benefit concert for the city’s terror attack victims.
The track is taken from his upcoming debut solo album As You Were, which drops on October 6 through Warner Bros – check out the new lyric video below.
