The only thing that we enjoy more than the Gallagher brothers musical output, is the consistent mudslinging between Noel and Liam. Unfortunately, today we were greeted with a shocking revelation — Liam has said something nice about his older brother.

In a new interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1, Liam professed his affection for Noel.

“The only thing you’re missing is, I guess, the paychecks, and like, me brother,” Liam shared when asked about the success of his solo career. “Whether I’m digging him out or we’re having a crack at each other, I adored him. I love him. He’s my brother. You know what I mean? You can veer off and go, oh yeah … he said that little bit and that, you know what I mean, but the main core of it is pure love, man.”

I’ve pinched myself thrice and felt it each time so… this must be real. Perhaps 2020 will be the year we get the Oasis reunion we deserve.

In related news, Liam Gallagher recently revealed that he is interested in penning the theme song for the forthcoming Bond film, No Time To Die.

Gallagher offered his critical summary of the movie, describing it as “all about death, innit.”

“Die not next week, can’t be arsed dying today, might die fucking next month, there’s a lot of death going on.”

Though he’s not knocking the film and is keen to get involved with the project. “But you know they can give us a call, why not,” he shared. Which we interpret as the closest thing Liam Gallagher is ever going to get to expressing enthusiasm towards something.

You can catch Liam Gallagher live when he hits Australian shores in November.
