Controversial rapper Lil Pump was forced to cancel a show in Finland on Tuesday night, having been arrested by police officers in Denmark.
Ever since Lil Pump burst onto the rap scene with ‘Gucci Gang’ last year, he’s been one of those artists that people love to hate. While Dave Grohl has sung the praises of Lil Pump (whose real name is Gazzy Garcia) on more than one occasion, he seems to rub others the wrong way.
Just a couple of months ago, it was revealed that Lil Pump was set to go to prison for a “couple months” due to a parole violation. While most of us thought this sentence must still be incoming, his manager revealed back in October that Garcia had already completed his jail sentence, but did not explain when this occurred.
Now, the rapper is facing legal troubles yet again, having been briefly detained by Danish police officers.
As TMZ reports, Lil Pump found himself in Copenhagen on Tuesday, when local police detained the rapper and his crew, allegedly on suspicion of holding something illegal.
Apparently, Lil Pump thought it would be a good idea to livestream his trip back to the police station, at which point he began to flip off the Danish officers behind their back. Understandably, they weren’t too pleased with his behaviour, and decided to detain the rapper for longer than first planned.
Due to his extended time in custody, Lil Pump was forced to cancel his show in Finland on Tuesday night, with promoters citing “unexpected events” as the reason for its cancellation.
In related news, Lil Pump is set to make his Australian debut early next year when he tours the country as part of the 2019 FOMO Festival. Here’s hoping he doesn’t run into any trouble with the cops during his visit.
