Lime Cordiale have continued their corona sessions cover series with a bloody ripper take on Ruel’s 2018 tune ‘Dazed & Confused’.

The Sydney rockers uploaded a stripped-back cover of the track, as brothers Oli and Louis Leimbach perform the tune soulfully with just a simple guitar as the only instrumentation.

“Here’s a little cover of bootiful boi @oneruel. Pubs opening up here in Aus have got us Dazed & Confused. But very relieved. Stay safe chickens,” they tweeted.

‘Dazed & Confused’ delivered Ruel an ARIA Award in 2018 for Breakthrough Artist, with the original version really showing the world the wonderkid’s incredible vocal maturity and range. It’s a cover that not many would attempt, let along deliver, but Oli Leimbach’s vocals sound like they are made for the tune.

The gorgeously whimsical performance is supplemented by some pre-recorded vocal harmonies as well.

“Corona sessions take two, with a cup of tea. Stay inside… stay safe,” says Oli Leimbach, before kicking off into the cover.

The latest cover follows a recent performance of ‘Millenium Queen’ by Approachable Members Of Your Local Community, who you may know from their support duties on Lime Cordiale’s Australia tour dates last year.
