Lime Cordiale has pipped DMA’s and Juice WLRD to top this week’s ARIA album chart.
The Sydney brothers Oli and Louis Leimbach have come out on top with their new record 14 Steps To A Better You, three years after the release of their debut album Permanent Vacation.
Speaking to their success, ARIA CEO Dan Rosen said: “Congratulations to Louis and Oli of Lime Coridale, and their team at Chugg Music, on topping the ARIA Albums Chart.
“Despite all the difficulties of the times, the band found a way to put on shows and connect with their audience. Their ingenuity, hard work and creativity has gotten them their first ever #1 Album.”
14 Steps To A Better You is one of the most anticipated releases of 2020. Crowning it Album Of The Week, Tone Deaf Editor Poppy Reid wrote: “Close to three years since the release of their last record, Lime Cordiale’s 14 Steps To A Better You show a duo who have grown up into the world-class songwriters they truly are.
“With a truly inimitable way of approaching their music, the Leimbach brothers have created a record full of catchy, blissful radio-friendly anthems.”
Celebrating the news on Twitter, Lime Cordiale said: ““14 Steps To A Better You” debuts at #1 on the @ARIA_Official charts in our first week of release. This is absolutely insane. Thank you all for your support and ears. We’re pinching ourselves. Yep.”

The brothers have been some of the first to get back to playing live post-pandemic. In early July, they took to Sydney’s Northern Beaches to smash out an acoustic performance. They’ve been known for hosting many cheeky post-lockdown gigs across Sydney since restrictions lifted there earlier this month.
