Simo Soo is a Sydney based rapper/ producer/ member of many bands/ dude you should definitely keep tabs on. The progressive electro punk rap artist has just dropped a new single ‘LYF’ featuring Perth’s great pop experimental hope Kučka and it’s both parts sweet and abrasive.

Citing his main influences as Yoko Ono, 2Pac, Kathleen Hanna, Björk. ‘LYF’ combines Kučka’s love of candy sweet sounds with Soo’s jagged rap punk production.

Already landing Soo airplay on Triple J and FBi (along with Triple J Unearthed naming him feature artist of the week) ‘LYF’ will feature on Soo’s forthcoming third album set for release later this year.

The single release comes with bonus remixes by Adelaide’s Lonelyspeck, Tennis Boys (the remix team of Marcus Whale of Collarbones/Black Vanilla & Marcus Thaine) and Melbourne vaporware artist SODA lite and is a free download from www.simosoo.bandcamp.com
