We’ve been fans of lo-fi-noise-folk band Tiny Little Houses, since they released one incredibly moving little single, titled ‘Every Man Knows His Plague; And You Are Mine’ back in July 2014.

A follow on from that release, the four piece have recently unveiled their new single ‘Easy’. So far in their relatively short career the Melbourne band have managed to strike the delicate balance of letting their sound reference the lo-fi fuzz folk icons of the 90s like Neutral Milk Hotel, Sebadoh and even Elliott Smith, while still producing something startlingly new.

‘Easy’ was formed during writing and pre-production sessions taking place in a shed in the coastal town of Inverloch before being taken to Melbourne to be fleshed out in the studio. The single retells the tale of a break-up taking place midway through a date at Luna Park, capturing the conflicting introspection that comes with unrequited love. As the song’s refrain states, “It’s not hell / But it’s not easy”.

The band will be launching ‘Easy’ this July and August with a show in Sydney followed by one in Melbourne. Check out the dates below, and be sure to get familiar with these guys before they blow up. Check out the band’s Facebook page for more info.
