London-based Australian artist Liz Stringer is returning home for a national tour to raise awareness of the Australian housing crisis.

Stringer will perform at 17 venues across Australia as part of her newly announced ‘To Survive’ tour, supporting her latest album, The Second High, released earlier this year in March.

Presented by Double J, Select Music, and Remote Control Music, and in partnership with Wombat Housing Support Services, the tour also serves as a fundraising campaign to support those affected by the housing crisis.

At each show, attendees will have the chance to donate proceeds to local community support organisations via QR codes. Stringer will also contribute personally, helping to raise funds for people experiencing homelessness.

Stringer said “As an artist who’s toured all corners of Australia for many years now, the growing wealth disparity and impact of the housing crisis in this country has never been more obvious to me.”

“Housing is a human right and yet, because of years of policy decisions and a lack of forward thinking, an increasing number of Australians are either already homeless or experiencing chronic housing insecurity. I’m helping to facilitate my audience to support their communities in the hope that it further shines a bright light on the issues facing vulnerable Australians everywhere.”
