Lupe Fiasco’s latest album is finally about to be released after record company delays left protesting  to the label. Lasers is set to be released by Atlantic Records on March 7th, despite the rap star having worked on it through 2008 and 2009.

He told Triple J last year “It’s one of the sadder parts of being on a major record label. At a certain point it’s out of your hands. About a date for Lasers, it’s truly on them. I have no idea what they’re going to do.”

Fans protested outside Atlantic Records HQ in New York last October, but finally new single ‘The Show Goes On’ will be out later this month. Interestingly it uses a sample of Modest Mouse’s 2004 indie hit ‘Float On’.
