After delivering a veritable treasure trove of A-list remixes for Major Lazer, Gorgon City, Tiga, Doorly, Iggy Azalea and Sneaky Sound System and penning radio hits for Jess Kent and Kita Alexander, his latest effort ‘Careful Baby’ finds the multi-faceted Van She co-founder, frontman and producer team up with local vibe purveyors Antony & Cleopatra for a midnight masterclass.

Working with Jess Kent at the moment on her album which we met through her manager Andrew Klippel and the same day when she came over we finished get down which has set the tone for the rest of her records.
The best thing with Jess is she knows hats cool and whats not and what works and what doesn’t. She’s super decisive on not just her vocals and writing but also parts and sounds in the production which is awesome so it’s extremely collaborative
Nat Dunn
Nat Dunn whom would be actually my first choice of singers anywhere in the world as her talent is beyond .. She writes at least one song a day and they are always something ya know!
She is also really collaborative and loves having input into concepts and the stories of the song which I love … also helps that she has the best voice on the planet
Antony & Cleopatra
Antony and Cleo are an amazing duo from the Uk with Alex at the helm who is an amazing writer singer and vocal producer, the stuff they do is always so classic sounding.
I was working with Alex on some stuff in London and he was showing me some of the A&C tracks they are going to put out and I loved the way they had the duet factor but done in a cool way it was just so refreshing… So he sent me some accapellas and i just picked one and wrote a track around it which is now careful baby
Kita Alexander
Kita Alexander is a young tall and beautiful human and amazing song writer for whom I did her first single ‘Your Own Way’ who has this amazing energy when it comes to song writing … She sorts hums something and i make some chords and beats and she’s like i got it and then just sings a whole song … Quite amazing really.
Sneaky Sound System
Sneaky Sound System who don’t need any intro … They are also like family and watching the way they write is a very intimate affair because as you can imagine not many couples who write songs together stay together, but there is a infinite magic to how connie can reinterpret and and ad to Angus’ already magnetic writing style and lyrics to form the base of the song.
Sometimes I add melody changes and a few word suggestions which most of the time get left out for good reason too as the songs most of the time are quite complete before i get to them.
