Metallica has added yet another delectable live cut from their archive as part of their quar-inspired concert series, “#MetallicaMondays”.

Over the past few months, Metallica has been digging through their back-catalogue, sharing full performances from the band’s history.

“While we’re all doing our part and staying home, we find ourselves missing live music, so how about we dive back into a few of our favorite shows at a socially responsible distance?” the band shared in a statement at the time.

This latest instalment is a hometown highlight, taking footage from the band’s performance at Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne on March 1st, 2013.

2013 was the last time Metallica graced Australian shores. The band were scheduled to tear up arenas around the country back in October, with help from metal’s favourite masked fiends Slipknot. However, the band postponed the tour in light of frontman James Hetfield checking himself into rehab.

In this coronavirus era, who knows when we’ll be able to experience Metallica and their infinite glory again. So as we patiently wait for the live music industry to reopen, we’re going to thrash our hearts out from the safety of our couch.
