Each day we are provided another strange pop culture crossover involving Netflix’s latest viral docuseries, Tiger King.

Yesterday the internet was sent into a tizzy when they realised that Doc Antle, an animal trainer featured heavily in the show, was also involved in Britney Spears’ iconic 2001 VMAs performance of ‘I’m A Slave 4 U’. Eagle-eyed fans realised that performance features Antle on stage with Britney, standing in a cage behind her handling tigers.

Now, an unearthed 2015 article from Los Angeles Times has revealed that seven alligators and one crocodile that were killed when Joe Exotic’s studio and enclosure burnt down belonged to sexual abuser Michael Jackson.

The alleged arson is covered in the docuseries, but there was no mention that the crocs that were left “boiling alive in a towering inferno” once belonged to a bonafide celebrity. According to the article, they were acquired by a former manager of the zoo following the closure of Neverland Ranch.

Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness is available to stream on Netflix now. Check out a trailer for the show below.
