Famous as the frontman for iconic rock band The Rolling Stones, Mick Jagger is reportedly producing and set to star in a filmed titled ‘Tabloid’, playing a media mogul with dubious morality.

According to Rolling Stone the film “will tell the story of a Rupert Murdoch-like mogul and a young journalist who is brought into the inner circle of his immoral media empire.”

No doubt inspired by recent the recent scandal in the UK involving News Corporation, one of the biggest media companies in the world, and it’s founder Rupert Murdoch who Jagger’s character is no doubt a thinly veiled interpretation.

Reportedly Jagger himself came up with the idea and has already signed on screenwriter Josh Olsen, who also wrote the screenplay for A History Of Violence.

This wouldn’t be the frontman’s first foray into cinema however, acting in as many as 12 films including quite famously as Ned Kelly in an Australian production in 1970 where on set he allegedly penned the song ‘Brown Sugar’.
