Midnight Oil fans are in luck as the band have added an intimate warm-up show to their ‘Makarrata Live’ tour.
Ahead of the tour’s world premiere at WOMADelaide on Monday, March 8th, the band will perform a warm-up show at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre.
The one-off performance, to be held on Thursday, February 25th, will showcase songs from Midnight Oil and their collaborators on the mini-album The Makarrata Project.
On top of that, the show will also see them perform some of the iconic songs of reconciliation that the band are renowned for.
As if that wasn’t enough, it will also feature an acoustic set from First Nations collaborator Leah Flanagan.
The warm-up concert joins a series of gigs in venues across South Australia, Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and the Australian Capital Territory.
The tour’s aim is to elevate the Uluru Statement From The Heart which calls for a Makarrata – or “truth telling” – to account for the theft of lands and displacement of First Nations people.

Tickets for the warm-up show go on sale to the general public on Thursday, February 18th, while tickets for all other shows are on sale now.
