Boy bands are back, thanks to the just-released first single of Midnight Til Morning, as seen on Netflix’s ‘Building the Band’.

Many of history’s great boy bands first performed on television, and history may be repeating itself for Midnight Til Morning, who’ve officially released their first single on all platforms.

The anticipated debut single of multinational four-piece band Midnight til Morning has been officially released on all platforms. Titled “Bye”, it’s a classically bittersweet ballad debut for the group, comprised of Australians Conor Smith and Mason Watts and US-born bandmates Shane Appell and Zack Newbould.

The single was co-written by Benson Boone, Amy Allen (Harry Styles, Sabrina Carpenter, Tate McRae), Scott Harris (Shawn Mendes, Dua Lipa), Elie Rizk (Benson Boone, Noah Cyrus), and the band members themselves. For producers, the band worked with Rizk and Grammy-nominated JT Daly (K. Flay, PVRIS).

The band has also signed with global label Chugg Music. CEO Andrew Stone, is set to manage strategy and development, while Michael Chugg AM — well established in local and overseas music industries alike — will bring a wealth of experience to the team.

Stone said “Chuggi and I first heard the band when they all flew back to meet us following the filming with Netflix. Mason Watts had told us how committed he was to the group, and it took us one meeting to instantly see the chemistry, friendship and dedication from all the boys (plus a few funny stories).”

“Once they got into the studio and started recording and writing together, we were totally blown away. They’re one of the hardest working bands I’ve met…They’ve barely had a week to themselves in 9 months preparing for the launch of the show and getting the live show, video, and music ready for launch. We believe the future is very bright for MTM.”

The band has also announced their first Australian tour, presented by Frontier Touring. Shows are booked for Sydney on Thursday, November 20th, Brisbane on Saturday, November 22nd and Melbourne on Sunday, November 23rd.

“Bye” is out now on all platforms via Chugg Music. Tour tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, August 8 (10am AEST) via Frontier Touring.
