When Mike Patton finally hangs up his famed vocal chords and starts trying to order his discography, he is going to have one hell of a job. From Faith No More to Mr. Bungle to Fantomas, to Tomahawk to countless others, he has fronted more bands than most people have had hot dinners.

Now, Patton has joined Dead Cross, a supergroup of sorts containing Dave Lombardo of Slayer, Misfits and Suicidal Tendencies, Justin Pearson of San Diego grindcore outfit The Locust, and Michael Crain of U.S. punks Retox.

Gabe Serbian of The Locust was Dead Cross’s original frontman and, as you can hear from the trashy track below, Mike’s voice will more than suit his newest outfit.

He’ll of course be heading to our shores next year for Tassie music and arts festival MONA FOMA, and we recently got an idea of what we can expect from the ridiculously prolific muso.
