Last night saw a star-studded lineup of musicians band together to pay tribute to the late Chris Cornell. I Am The Highway: A Tribute to Chris Cornell saw members of Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog and Audioslave, as well as Foo Fighters, Metallica, Fiona Apple, Josh Homme, Miguel and more honour the musician. The concert ran over 5 hours and featured 42 performances from a legion of musicians and special guests.

One performance, in particular, seemed to resonate with the audience. Miley Cyrus delivered a harrowing cover of Temple of the Dog’s classic track “Say Hello 2 Heaven.” Cyrus was joined by Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament of Pearl Jam, with Josh Freese on drums. Check out the fan-shot footage below.

“Thank you everybody,” she shared at the end of the performance “I fucking wanted to sing this song tonight. We love you, Chris. Thank you for bringing us all together like you always have. It’s a fucking honour.”
