Next weekend is a long weekend, so to make the most of it local heroes Closure in Moscow are playing a very special intimate show this coming Sunday at The Workers Club.
According to the band themselves they’re “here to compel you to dance your ass of in a trance of bliss, all while morphing your reality tunnel in such a way that your perspective just might change on some shit.”
The much loved five piece are also bringing along mates Glass Ocean and Myyth along for the ride, to guarantee to fulfill your impending public holiday hangover the following day.
To celebrate their upcoming gig the guys have curated a very streamy mixtape around their chosen theme of “songs we like to make love to”. Pop it on and get in the mood for the show this Sunday the 13th March. Facebook event here.
Meshell Ndegeocello – ‘La Petite Mort’
Meshell’s voice is like honey and the groove is minimal, but you will feel it DEEP. La Petite Mort translates to “The Little Death”, a French expression which refers to the sensation of orgasm as likened to death. There is a point in the song when half of the instruments “die” and the piano leaves you with a warm sensation, a pleasurable release. La Petite Mort, a song about reaching climax. (Duncan)
Dam Funk – ‘The Sky Is Ours’
The funk will take you to another dimension. Can you believe just how much I am in heaven listening to this track? Get crunk, surrender to the funk and you’ll be taken to another dimension. All you wanna do is get down with this track, you’ll never wanna go back. (Duncan)
Happy Apple – ‘Ella by Nightlight’
Ain’t nothing sexier than sax, especially when careless whispers aren’t involved. Imagine the wash of the brushes over the snare is the aural representation of the electricity being generated wherever you are touching or being touched… Siiiizzzzzle. (Christopher)
Grimes – ‘Go’ (Feat. Blood Diamonds)
Saucy with a dash of pensive, plus you get to tell all your friends you fuck to witch house… You pretentious tit. (Christopher)
Holy Other – ‘Know Where’
A binaural blend of dark meets light beats and sounds to really get yourself deep into it. I really love a solid soundscape when kissing the face of infinity. (Manny)
Rammstein – ‘Buch Dich’
For when you want to push some boundaries and see how much you can take. (Manny)
R. Kelly – ‘Bump N’ Grind’
It’s a song called Bump N’ Grind… By R. Kelly. (Sal)
D’Angelo – ‘Brown Sugar’
Lubricant not needed. Just add brown sugar. (Sal)
Limp Bizkit – ‘My Way’
Selfish loving gets a bad reputation, except you get a free pass if you’re usually selfless and don’t get to cum. (Michael)
Bill Withers – ‘Use Me’
Nothing is better than feeling withered and used. (Michael)
