If you’ve been paying attention, the government and the entertainment industry have decided they’re not messing around anymore. As Billboard reports, the Australian government has presented ISPs with a 120-day deadline to create an industry code for blocking copyright-infringing content.
But the news probably brings little solace to the likes of Candian hip-hop giant Drake, Maroon 5, Jay-Z, or the producers of Iron Man 3, The Expendables 3, and Fast and Furious 6, all of whom rank in the top 10 of the most torrented files of all time.
Founded in 2006 and boasting millions of visitors every day, ExtraTorrent is one of the largest torrent sites on the web. Earlier this week, the site revealed the top 20 most pirated files of all time, giving consumers a unique look at the downloading habits of torrent users.

While ExtraTorrent did not provide exact download counts, the team behind the site reportedly informed TorrentFreak that the files listed in the top ten had all been downloaded at least 10 million times, where ‘download’ represents access to a .torrent file hosted on the site.
The list bears plenty of surprises, with the top three spots all taken up by music — Drake’s Nothing Was The Same, Maroon 5 and Wiz Khalifa’s ‘Payphone’, and Jay-Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail, respectively — with Drake and Jay-Z’s albums both released in just the last two years.
Other musos featured in the list include Beyonce, whose deluxe edition of her 4 album just missed the top ten, Rihanna (Unapologetic), Lil Wayne (No Ceilings), Justin Timberlake (The 20/20 Experience), Daft Punk (‘Get Lucky’), and Ariana Grande (‘Problem’).
The rest of the list, which readers can check out below, is made up of films, most of which have been released in just the last few years, and one porn title – a parody of The Avengers. Note that the original film did not make the top 20.
