Frontman Vince Neil of the legendary collective Mötley Crüe has sadly revealed that his five-year-old Yorkshire Terrier, California Wolf Neil, was “brutally murdered” by “two evil neighbour dogs.”
Mötley Crüe’s Vince Neil shared to Instagram that his beloved California Wolf Neil “has gone to heaven” following being killed by neighbours dogs right next to his front door.
Along with his long-time partner, both beauty educator and celebrity makeup artist Rain Hannah, the couple shared the tragic passing of their pet on Sunday, June 21st.
“With a heavy heart we share the news that our beloved California Wolf Neil has gone to heaven,” they revealed. “Her passing was tragic. She was brutally murdered on our front door by two evil neighbour dogs, which is caught on our security cameras.”
The Mötley Crüe singer then accused their neighbours of trying to cover up the murder, noting that they said the dog “ran two football fields to their pasture and their long horn steers killed her!!”
With this accusation, the couple pled with followers to “please pray for her justice because her killers are still running free!!”

The darling pup pictured is nick-named Cali, and Vince Neil shared that “Cali touched every person she came in contact with and was loved by all. We wish we could have her back. But we know it’s the circle of life and she will come back to us in her next life.”
“Thank you all for your support and love during these difficult times,” he continued. “We will be posting and sharing more photos of her as we have almost six years of beautiful memories with her.”
Tugging on the heart strings of both Mötley Crüe and dog fans alike, Neil wrote that Cali “had the ‘it factor’ and was perfect in every way,” stating that “she had a pure soul, loved with her whole heart and could never hurt a soul.
The couple ended with a heartfelt message saying, “we always prayed for her protection and that she would never feel any pain. She had a beautiful life and a horrific sudden end. But she’s in heaven now and she got her wings. We will be patiently waiting to see her again.”
