After a self-discovering four-year break, the all keyboard, dreamy synth-pop Brooklynites are back, releasing a defining forth album.

Throughout Move In Spectrum’, Au Revoir Simone provide a versatile arrangement of upbeat, dance movers as well as more melancholic serenades.

In this electronic hypno-folk trio – comprised of Erika Forster, Annie Hart and Heather D’Angelo, each member provides an effortless talent of harmonious vocals and elegant keyboards to collectively produce a magnitude of majestic moments.

‘Somebody Who’ is an easy and obvious choice for their first single. It has probably the catchiest hook of all tracks from the album and radiates the perfect summery vibe – right in time for festival season.

However, their second single ‘Crazy’ is perhapsthe least impressive due to the clichéd ‘90s girl-band visuals that overwhelm and distract the mind.

‘More Than’ begins with gloomy projections but rises into a breathable dance melody. The album opener exquisitely represents the certain variety of emotive narrative witnessed throughout the album.  T

he girls strike a great balance in ‘Hand Over Hand’ and ‘We Both Know’ whereby the electronic qualities slightly mask portions of sonic sorrow. Without depicting a dark and heavy notion, the songs remain to project a reflective rather than depressive manner.

In contrast, ‘Gravitron’ and ‘The Lead Is Galloping’ bear witness to an almighty fun punch with fruitful percussion and angelic, somewhat blissful vocals.

It’s a rekindled treasure that the girls have reunited to express and experiment with what they do best.
