Some of the biggest names in Aussie music will join forces this Anzac Day Eve for the second annual Music From the Home Front concert.

Amy Shark, Bliss N Eso, Lime Cordiale, Tash Sultana, The Rubens and Vance Joy are just a few of our music industry’s mainstays who will take to the stage at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Saturday, April 24th.

As well as the artists who will be performing live, a number of pre-recorded performances from special locations will also be broadcast on the night.

Ben Lee, Dean Lewis, Jimmy Barnes, The Kid Laroi and more will have their sets streamed to both the punters at the venue and viewers at home.

That’s right, those who can’t make it to the event can enjoy it from the comfort of their own home at 7.3opm AEST on Channel 9.

As if that wasn’t enough, it will also be streamed globally on YouTube at the same time as Channel 9.

Last year’s Music From The Home Front was born as a response to the strict COVID-19 restrictions Australia and New Zealand were under at the time.

Watched by over 1.419 million viewers, the concert saw iconic musicians unite to remind us that we’re not alone even when we are socially distancing.

While last year’s show was filmed during lockdown, Music From the Home Front will go live on stage for the first time this year.

The concert was conceptualised by Mushroom Group’s Michael Gudinski, who passed away suddenly last month. Gudinski was in the final stages of planning this year’s event at the time of his death.

Gudinski‘s son, Matt Gudinski, who recently assumed the role of CEO of Mushroom Group, said: “Dad had many great passions throughout his career, but his love of the local music industry never shone brighter than it did during the last year as we suffered through the impact of COVID-19.”

He continued: It’s incredibly fitting that Music From The Home Front, a project he was immensely proud of in 2020, was one of the events he was working on right up until his last day. That we can bring to life a broadcast concert version from his hometown of Melbourne, supporting the industry he loved, in a city he long promoted as the leading music capital of Australia, resonates deeply with all of us at Mushroom.”

Meanwhile, Acting Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events, Mary-Anne Thomas said: “We are proud to support Music From The Home Front in 2021 and it’s fantastic we can welcome crowds to this year’s event and show our support for the live music industry.”

Tickets for the Bowl concert will go on sale Friday, April 16th at 12:pm AEST via Music From The Home Front’s website.

On top of that, pre-sale tickets will be available through Frontier Touring from Wednesday, April 14th.
