In news that exudes a distinct Monster Energy aura, Slayer has teamed up with Rick Ware Racing on a customized car. The whip is set to be driven by Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series legend, JJ Yeley.

The car is emblazoned with Slayer’s signature imagery and heavily features the band’s logo. It will make its debut this Saturday at Tennesee’s Bristol Motor Speedway.

“It’s exciting and awesome that Rick and the boys are wearing the Slayer banner making us a part of NASCAR history!” shared Slayer frontman, Tom Araya.

“NASCAR racing and Slayer have a lot in common,” guitarist Kerry King added. “Both are extremely fast, intense and aggressive. I can think of nothing more rad than seeing the Slayer logo on Rick’s car with JJ behind the wheel. I’m sure Disciples of everyone involved will be completely stoked on the bond between these two fierce entities!”

JJ Yeley expressed his excitement over the opportunity to drive such an aesthetically triumphant vehicle, “I am super pumped to have the legendary metal band, Slayer, on my Rick Ware Racing No. 54 Chevrolet for one of the greatest races of the year, the Bristol night race! Being able to showcase the legacy that Slayer has created over the past 40 years is a true honour.”

It is truly a sight to behold, check it out below.

They joins the ranks of fellow Big Four royalty Megadeth, who last month were the subject of a personalised car courtesy of NASCAR driver Tyler Reddick.

The band are currently in the midst of their final ever world tour. They made their final Australian appearance back in March as part of Download Festival.
