Conor Oberst is set to release his first album with Bright Eyes since 2007’s Cassadaga. Ahead of the official release, the long player is being offered as a free stream on America’s National Public Radio. Entitled The People’s Key, the album sees him moving away from the sound that has made him a cult figure amongst music fans.

In December, Oberst said of the forthcoming album “With Bright Eyes, we’ve always experimented and tried to make a different record every time out. I’m feeling burnt out on the Americana, roots-y sound. I just wanted to make something different, something modern but something that still had warmth.”
