Bedroom recording star and The Basics drummer Wally DeBacker, AKA Gotye, is releasing a new album early next year. The as yet untitled follow up to 2006’s Like Drawing Blood is preceded by new single ‘Eyes Wide Open’ which was made available for download from his website www.gotye.com. Only problem was that a few plugs on his biggest fan, Triple J, yesterday, caused the site to crash. While he deals with his server issues, you can get the single at www.gotye.bandcamp.com. He’ll also be making a live comeback at the Laneway Festival around Australia this coming summer.
