It’s been pretty quiet chez Les Savy Fav since the release of 2007’s Let’s Stay Friends. They’re finally putting out a new long player on September 14 on bass player Syd Butler’s Frenchkiss label. Having previously said that the album would sound like “mid 1990s indie bands”, Butler has clarified this saying “”I think Root for Ruin somehow captures all the best parts of Les Savy Fav. We went into it with no expectations, and super excited with what came out. All the songs are my favorites.” The track listing is:
