FEELINGS
Be Kind Unwind

After declaring somewhat of a hiatus back in 2011, FEELINGS is a reincarnation of the original Philadelphia Grand Jury line up. Simon “Berkfinger” Berckelman, Joel Beeson and Dan W. are back together to release FEELINGS’ debut album.

A taste of the record, single ‘New York Summer’ will be released this Friday, September 6. Although the lyrics are telling the story of a break up that’s left behind a broken heart that can’t be fixed, the combination of the delectable drum groove, a fuzz-infused bass line and a synth that could be confused for a kazoo, make it almost impossible not to dance to.

The harmonies that feature in the track will bring back fond memories of Philly Jays and cause great excitement that these three are back together again.

Be Unkind Unwind is out October 25th 2013  through  Create/Control

NYPC
NYPC

New Young Pony Club are no more – and in their place are NYPC. Because deciding to shorten their name wasn’t so much as a rebranding or re-launching as it was a sign of their rebirth: for their third studio album NYPC, recorded and self produced in London, singer Tahita Bulmer and multi-instrumentalist Andy Spence decided to shut everything and everyone else out.

Their partnership is NYPC – and their creative chemistry and shared vision is what makes ‘NYPC’ their most forward thinking and refined album so far.

What has emerged is their most focused and coherent album yet, drawing on the strengths of their last two albums but pushing it forward into new uncharted territory.

NYPC is out October 11th 2013  through  Cooking Vinyl

Glasser
Interiors

The follow up to 2010’s critically acclaimed debut Ring, Interiors was produced by Glasser and Van Rivers (Fever Ray, Blonde Redhead), and is a much more considered, confident, and sharply personal album than its predecessor.

In the three years since Glasser released her breakout debut album Ring, she has toured around the world (with Jónsi of Sigur Rós, The XX, Delorean, and others) and left her California home for New York City. 2012 brought Glasser’s one-women live show to Australian shores where she played intimate headline dates and joined the niche lineup touring nationally as a part of the St Jeromes Laneway Festival.

The collapsing of California’s dreamy, empty expanse for that of New York City’s frenetic, tightly-knit landscapes set off a new trajectory of exploration for Glasser, one that focused on the definition of space, both outside and in.
