The psych-rockers are releasing their highly anticipated new album, and it’s apparently following a similar formula to their previous release.

Once again produced by Dan Carey (Bat for Lashes, Bloc Party, the Kills)  the follow-up  to the band’s 2012’s self-titled debut

Definitely going to be a popular stocking-stuffer this year.

Listen to the eponymous first single here, a bassy 8-minute jam sure to appease adoring fans looking for classic Toy.

Making Patterns Rhyme (Duran Duran Covers)


The same label responsible for some of the best cover albums of the last few years Manimal Vinyl, are now planning a Duran Duran tribute which will feature some of music’s biggest names.

Featuring Grimes, Moby, Warpaint, Little Dragon and more, the tribute is set for realise early next year.

Some of the tracks to be covered include classics like ‘Save A Prayer’ and ‘Friends Of Mine’

Proceeds from the album will go to Amnesty International.

Live At Rome Olympic Stadium DVD


The Brits are planning on releasing the live concert film, which will screen in 20 countries across the globe, in ultra high definition which means 8.8 million pixels.

The concert in question was filmed during their summer European tour some months ago where the group played to a 60,000 capacity crowd, and features performances of the songs ‘Uprising’, ‘Supermassive Black Hole’, ‘Time Is Running Out’ and ‘Plug In Baby’.

As NME report the band have said of the release “band have said: “This is the biggest tour we’ve done in terms of scale and production value and it’s definitely the show we’re most proud of.”

live At Rome Olympic Stadium will be released  next month.

Afraid To Die Volume 2


Featuring the title track single  as well as three other new tracks, the EP displays yet another facade of the Monk’s dynamic music, featuring blazing riffs and brass arrangements that could have fronted the latest James Bond movie and vocals that gently pull at the heart.

With their music drawing influence from the soundscapes of Pink Floyd, virtuoso blues of Led Zeppelin and the blazing alternative rock of Muse, they manage to create a unique and masterful blend of new and old.
