Palms & Gooch Palms Team Up For ‘Palmarama’ Australian Tour 2014

It’s happened! Palms and The Gooch Palms are hitting the road together for a big fat national tour from late February all through March. They not only share a common word in their bands’ names, but also a love of touring and great friendship to boot! So it was a no-brainer when they got together to arrange the long awaited Palmarama National Tour. Having both released their debut albums in late 2013 (Step Brothers and Novo’s respectively) to rave reviews, the Palmarama tour is the perfect double headliner to start the new year.

Over the past couple of years both bands have played the Big Day Out, featured on the Aussie remake of the Nuggets comp, each toured the country up and down, shared beers, laughs and lounges to crash on, they’ve even shared a member (Leroy from The Gooch Palms was once the bass player in Palms and contributed a bass line or two on Step Brothers) but these guys have somehow never shared a stage or played on the same bill, so it’s a big deal! And to keep it exciting, the bands will battle it out with a thumb war each night to see who will play last. Don’t miss Palmarama 2014!

The tour will see the Bestie Boys road test a swag of new material, as well as playing a selection of tracks from their two EPs along, including last year’s ‘Round & Round’ single, along with its amazing video that starred the real-life Australian political elite during the election campaign in September. Celebrate the new year with your besties before they hide away to write!
