BIGSOUND, the annual music conference for and by musicians, international industry leaders and hundreds of decision-makers around Australasia, is the perhaps the biggest and most important gathering of the music industry in the souther hemisphere.

Organisers have already announced some of the key speakers we can expect from this year’s outing, including keynotes from musicians Ben Lee and David Bridie, as well as ARIA Chart Club’s Mark Poston, Jack White’s Third Man Records lad, Ben Swank, Spotify’s Rene Chambers, band booker Richard Moffat and many, many more.

But today sees the announcement from BIGSOUND Live, the heaving list of bands and acts presents at venues in and around Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley over two nights for September 12 and 13. In partnership with Oztix, BIGSOUND Live has announced over 50 new acts to host a total of 120 of the world’s hottest artists in one location.

The newest additions are headed by The Aston Shuffle, Closure In Moscow, Ball Park Music, Henry Wagons, Strange Talk and Emperors. The lineup will also include the legendary David Bridie, Adelaide’s favourite facial hair aficionados The Beards and country star Catherine Britt, bringing a depth and variety to what has become the annual industry gathering for the music community.

International artists that have been lured by BIGSOUND include ex-Starsailor frontman James Walsh (UK), Toronto mavericks The Darcys (Canada), British act All the Young (UK) and Cairo Knife Fight (NZ) among others. These names are added to an already impressive line-up that features Kate Miller Heidke, Violent Soho, Oliver Tank and many more are expected to still be announced!

Tickets for BIGSOUND Live are available through Oztix for just $45+BF for one night (60 bands) or $69+BF for both nights (120 bands).
