James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem has hinted that the band’s forthcoming album may be the last – at least under that moniker. The super-producer of acts like Cut Copy and re-mix master of the likes of MIA also told the NME that the upcoming tour in support of the new LCD Soundsystem album ‘should probably be the last’.

After Pitchfork named 2007’s All My Friends as the second best single of the decade, and knowing Murphy’s propensity for being mischievous and telling porky pies to journalists, it’s very likely that even if LCD Soundsystem is killed off on stage Ziggy Stardust style, he’ll be back…
