LCD Soundsystem bowed out from live performance over the weekend, playing an epic set to a star studded crowd at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. As the band reached the finale of their 29 song set, they were joined by Win and William Butler and Régine Chassagne of the Arcade Fire who sang backing vocals on the final track, 2007’s ‘North American Scum’.

As LCD Soundsystem front man James Murphy embarked on a long winded introduction to the penultimate song, Win Butler interrupted him, joking “Shut up and play the hits!” As the indie supergroup belted out the track, Murphy noted that they hadn’t played the song in a long time “because we’re f–king idiots.”
