Hole frontwoman and Kurt Cobain’s widow, Courtney Love, has signed a deal with book publisher William Morrow for an unspecified amount to pen a tell-all memoir about her life with the Nirvana singer, the events surrounding his suicide in 1994, and her infamous drug problems.

The announcement has been made conveniently during the 20 year celebrations for the release of Nirvana’s seminal album Nevermind, although we’re sure that is just a coincidence. It isn’t like Love to take up the opportunity for a cheap publicity stunt. A press release from the publisher sent around last night reads:

“Here, for the first time, Love finally sets the record straight about their tumultuous marriage, her history of drug abuse and subsequent recovery, and her relationship with daughter, Frances Bean. In addition to focusing on her career, she will also talk openly and candidly about her career in Hollywood, including highly-publicized relationships with Billy Corgan and Ed Norton.”

No doubt there will be some a few interesting stories Love will tell but we hope she is a little more tactful then she has been in the past. Also, check out our gallery of photos of Kurt and Courtney’s daughter Frances Bean in a raunchy photo shoot for celebrity photographer Hedi Slimane.
