Mars Volta and At The Drive In legend Omar Rodriquez Lopez is heading to Australia with his own self-titled three piece band. Over the course of Omar’s illustrious and enduring career as a musician, producer, and film maker, he’s been involved with some of the most critically acclaimed artists of our generation, most notable numerous recorded collaborations with John Frusciante of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
To accompany Omar on his first ever Australian tour in this guise he’ll be bringing the Mexican-born, LA-based, art punk band Le Butcherrete with him, in which he plays bass, and are signed to his record label. As usual, we would expect you to expect the unexpected…
